Redick, who was a guest on ESPN’s “First Take” on Friday, said that he believes Christie has the potential to be a “very valuable” player for the Lakers.
“He’s a Swiss Army knife,” Redick said. “He can do a little bit of everything. He can shoot, he can defend, he can rebound. He’s just a really well-rounded player.”
Redick, who is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, was particularly impressed with Christie’s shooting ability.
“He’s got a really good shot,” Redick said. “He’s a very good shooter off the catch and he can also create his own shot. He’s going to be a weapon for the Lakers.”
In addition to his shooting, Redick also praised Christie’s defense.
“He’s a very good defender,” Redick said. “He’s got great instincts and he’s very athletic. He can guard multiple positions.”
Redick believes that Christie has a bright future with the Lakers.
“I think he’s going to be a very valuable player for the Lakers,” Redick said. “He’s a young player with a lot of potential. I’m excited to see what he can do in the future.”
