Lobos Open Acrisure Classic Against Arizona State On Thanksgiving

The New Mexico Lobos will open the 2022 Acrisure Classic on Thanksgiving, November 24, against the Arizona State Sun Devils at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lobos Looking To Start Strong

The Lobos are coming off a 14-19 season in 2021-22, but they return four starters from that team, including leading scorer Jaelen House.

“We’re excited to get the season started,” said head coach Richard Pitino. “We have a lot of new faces on this team, but we also have some experienced players who can help us compete right away.”

Arizona State With High Hopes

Arizona State is coming off a 14-17 season, but they have a lot of talent on their roster, including transfers DJ Horne and Frankie Collins.

“We’re really excited about this season,” said head coach Bobby Hurley. “We have a lot of new players, but we also have some experienced players who can help us compete right away.”

Matchup To Watch

The matchup between House and Horne will be one to watch. House is a talented scorer who can create his own shot, while Horne is a long and athletic forward who can score inside and out.

“I’m looking forward to playing against DJ,” said House. “He’s a great player, and I think it’s going to be a fun matchup.”
