Lingering Disappointment

“I’m still in disbelief,” said Emily Carter, a Clinton supporter from Ohio. “I can’t believe he won.”

Carter expressed a sense of loss, not only for Clinton but also for the country. “It feels like we’ve taken a step backward,” she said.

Uncertainty about the Future

Clinton supporter Sarah Wilson from California echoed Carter’s feelings. “I’m worried about what the future holds,” she said.

Wilson expressed concerns about President Trump’s policies and their potential impact on the country. “I’m not sure what to expect anymore,” she said.

Reflections on the Political Landscape

Both Carter and Wilson reflected on the political climate that led to Trump’s victory. Carter said she was surprised by the level of anger and resentment she witnessed during the campaign.

“I think people are feeling very left out,” she said. “They’re looking for someone to blame.”

Wilson agreed, adding that she believes there is a need for greater political engagement. “We need to do a better job of listening to each other,” she said. “We need to find common ground.”

Moving Forward

Despite their disappointment, both Carter and Wilson said they are committed to staying involved in politics.

“I’m not going to let this election stop me,” said Carter. “I’m going to continue to fight for what I believe in.”

Wilson said she believes it is important to stay positive and to work together to improve the country.

“We have to keep hope alive,” she said. “We have to believe that we can overcome this.”
